Charge renormalization

Electrons comprising chemical bonds provide the screening to stabilize nuclei at large configuration space densities. As a starting point for quantum-controlled fusion, the drastic confinement conditions of the molecular bound state enable optically controlled, coherent and reactive scattering into nuclear threshold resonances at optimally tailored wavefunction configurations. Furthermore, this process is accessible at energy scales characteristic of intramolecular processes, rather than at energies associated with incoherent processes at high temperatures.
